is it pointless now vs armour 7 or less or am i missing the point.
Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!

No, you are not missing the point. It is now useless against AV7 and less. This was the nerf needed as mutations are now skills and no longer traits.Magic Dave wrote:is it pointless now vs armour 7 or less or am i missing the point.
I think I prefer the claws ignore armour and AV 7 is the default "no armour" explanation...GalakStarscraper wrote:Here is the way to look at this. Picture the Claw has having a gap in the middle when it closes. So that the smaller and less armoured the player the less force that can be put on that player as they fit much better in that gap. However a heavily armoured player is much thicker and thus the squeezing power of the claw has a much greater effect.

Agreed.Snew wrote:Doesn't work for me. Halflings are fat. They'd still squish.

Claw was to goo before, now it's a crap mechanic. Doesn't work for me.Nazgit wrote:Claw was too good before, now it is not. Works for me.
Yeah but all that butter on their outfits from buttered rolls on the sidelines makes them pop out of the claws instead of going squish ...Snew wrote:Doesn't work for me. Halflings are fat. They'd still squish.
Only because somebody who will remain nameless to protect the innocent thought it would be a good idea to give chaos teams access to them without doubles. Otherwise it would have been ok to leave the mutations alone.Nazgit wrote:Claw was too good before, now it is not. Works for me.
While it's a matter of taste and opinion which is better between doubles and non-doubles mutations for the Chaotic teams. There is no way RSC and Claw should have been left as they were, even if they remained as doubles only. You know there's something wrong when a beastman jumps to the top of peoples 'to kill' lists just by rolling one or two doubles.wesleytj wrote:Otherwise it would have been ok to leave the mutations
Fortunately this wasn't me ... this change was put in place by someone else before I got sole powerwesleytj wrote:Only because somebody who will remain nameless to protect the innocent thought it would be a good idea to give chaos teams access to them without doubles. Guilty as charged, and as you know, I now don't like the rule and would pull it. And if you didn't like it yourself you had plenty of opportunity to do so.GalakStarscraper wrote:Fortunately this wasn't me ... this change was put in place by someone else before I got sole powerwesleytj wrote:Only because somebody who will remain nameless to protect the innocent thought it would be a good idea to give chaos teams access to them without doubles.
