Passing, when the ball comes to rest....

When does the ball come to rest on a pass?

Happened today: a pass is errant and bounces next to the intended receiver. If the receiver catches the bouncing ball, does the turn continue?

TURNOVERS

2. A passed ball, or hand-off, is not caught by any member of the
moving team before the ball comes to rest

If its a player on the passing coaches team, yes. With a pass, if you roll inaccurate, you scatter 3 times, if that hits an empty square, you scatter once. if that square is also unoccupied, the ball comes to rest and its a turn over.

A ball has come to rest when it has been caught or it is in an empty square from which it is not scattering. IE comes to rest = stops moving.
