Wizard question

Hi,

I have a question about the use of a wizard:

At page 50 of LRB 5 the time using a wizard is now extended to 'after own team's turn has ended'

So is this the beginning of my opponent team's turn or is there s.th. like "interphase turn"? (I'm a little bit confused about that  )

And a 2nd one:

Can I use a RR for a failed wizard spell?
I would say no because he's no player on the pitch but I'd like to have an official answer to make it clear. :D

Ok so here's the relevant text:
Wizards may only cast spells at the start of their own turn before any player performs an Action OR immediately after their own team's turn has ended even if it ended with a turnover.
It means you can use it at the very start of your turn before moving anyone, or at the very end of the turn after everyone has moved (even if a turnover has occured.) There's no phase inbetween, just a slight hold on the normal turn order while you resolve the wizard.

Or if you want to look at it in a slightly different (and vague) manner, the wording allows you to use the wizard before your turn or before the opponents turn.

And afaik that's a no to using rerolls on it. But I may be wrong.

no trust me that's a good thing. i had a friend in 3rd ed who would use all of his cards and wizard right at the begining of the game to give himself 3 or 4 turns in a row.

he'd kick to you. you do most of your turn and go pick up the ball. he'd do his turn, and then at the start of your turn 2, BAM wizard, turnover. then he'd take his turn to pound the CRAP out of your people, and your turn 3 BAM Stiletto or Lurve Potion or whatever, turnover, he'd take ANOTHER turn beating the crap out of your team (by this time many were starting to find their way out of bounds), then your turn 4, often he'd have one more turnover card BAM, and he'd pound you again and score at the end. Oh and a foul with a dirty player (+2 to both arm and inj back then) every turn too.

So great, now it's turn 5 of the game, you're behind 1-0, half your team is KO'd or worse, and you've hardly even played. Tough to come back from.

I don't miss 3rd ed. :)

Neither do I. Which is why I decided to pass on the 3rd ed league that started up in my local GW club.
