Is dauntless only rolled for when I initiate a block (offensive turn) or anytime I am involved in a block? Wording's a little vague, but I don't want to be beardy....

How is that "a little vague"? You don't "attempt to block" when you're hit, you are blocked.

Like darkson said. Its only when YOU initiate the block.

Oh, I agree with you (Just makin' sure).... But to answer your question: In the same way that you can get a casualty from being in a block with someone else....

Yeah ... but the Casualty rule is very specific about being both sides of a block. Dauntless is very specific about being only one side of the block.

Could Double Dauntless ever be added as an extraordinary skill for a halfling roster that did not have the Treeman (The woodland brethren all having gone to play for wood elf teams - the trees like winning just as much as the rest).

Halfling Blockers - 5 2 3 7 Dodge, Stunty, Double Dauntless 60k

And what is a double dauntless? Do you mean being able to use it on offence and defence?

Yep, it's a General Trait in the house-rule havy MBBL2 (great fun), and can be used both when blocking and being blocked. For a player to get it, they need to already have Dauntless (a General Skill in the MBBL2).

I mean come on, how many treemen are there in this fantasy world - they were supposed to be rare....

0-6 Halfling Blockers to replace the Tree.

and why not?

Sure feet is almost useless. giv'm sure hands so someone can snack up the ball and make them 60k.

But I think the 0-4 blockers should also get access to the general skills and make them 70k[/quote]
