Blocking one of your own- Query

Post by Pug »

This may seem an obvious answer to some bu tnot me..
Here's the situation, it's not come up in my games but has been a thought I had today.
Say you have the opportunity to score that critical TD to win. BUT. There's one of your own players in the way that if they were else where..IE pushed back or prone, would give you the ability to score.

Now I've refered to the "Turn Over" list and it says that if a Moving team player is placed prone (Yes I know it's about the skills) but doesn't have the ball then it's not a Turn-Over.

The thing is would it be feasible to block your own player (one in the way) and pray to nuffle that you don't get a Stunned result if the Armour roll is passed. Or even better fail the armour roll.

In Basic.

1) Can you block your own players? (Obviously having to roll for concequences)

2) If yes, and the blocked player goes down but not stunned. IS it a Turn-Over?
:-?

You may not block your own players. If you look at the rules for blocking it only discusses blocking opponents.

 The dramatics are unnecessary.

you misread the Turnover List too. If a player on the moving team is knocked down it's a turnover. It's got nothing to do with the ball. Failed GFIs are always turnovers, Failed Dodges, same. Getting Blocked. Those are Knock Downs. If you roll AV, it's a Knock Down.

Being placed prone is something different. The skills listed are ones where you place your player prone to activate them. No AV roll is made for that.
