If your blocker with piling on is blitzing, can he get back up after piling on (if he's got 3MA left?)

No. You can never get up after you go down on any given turn, no matter what brought you down. For example, back in 3rd ed, when you got diving tackled, you couldn't just get back up and keep moving.

While I agree with you, I'd like to have a page number in the LRB to back me up when I take this back to my league. The best I can come up with is from the LRB, page 12, left column, top: "While prone, a player loses his tackle zone and may do nothing except stand up at a cost of three squares of his movement when he next takes an action" (emphasis mine) Anywhere else?
You want 2 rulings to cover this?

I think the section you are quoting is adequate for your purpose. Piling On definitely finishes a player's action, even though it does not specifically say that in the wording for Piling On.
However, the section you just quoted does show that the only time a player can stand up is at the
start of that player's action. Note that taking a catch is not an action, and at present, using Pass Block is not considered an action either.

Last night i killed a Mummy who had just Piled on Seriously injuring my Orc Lineman.
Lying on the ground he was subjected to a 4 man assisted foul by a Dirty player. the result came up Dead, and the Mummy failed the regeneration roll. at his demise he'd racked up over 40 SPP's and had Block, Guard, Piling On.

So.. Does this apply to a player going prone after being thrown by a TTM?

If they haven't taken their action then they can stand up.

That's the only exception to the going prone rule.

Read Haar's quote. Its the player's action that's important, not the turn.

Almost. Players hit by a thrown stink bomb can still get up after being knocked down, although I guess this isn't in the official rules at the present moment...

Well, I have asked the same question directly to Andy a few months ago and the answer was Yes...
What do you think ?
