Say you blitz with a wrestling human blitzer, move one square then throw a block. You roll both down and chose to take it. The defending player has wrestle and choses to take it, so you both go down.

Would the blitzer then be able to stand up using the rest of his movement?

I'm 95% sure he wouldn't as stand up has to be at the start of move/blitz action, but just checking.

you're right, even if the player has movement to get up, he can't. As soon as the player is placed prone, his turn is over.
