First of all, it will be a bit long, I am sorry if it is any problem.

While I was translating LRB5.0 to Hungarian, I had to go through the rules word by word, and some new questions came up to me. I hope they are really new ones, I tried to surf the existing topics here and QA at the end of the rules - if I still duplicate questions, I am sorry.

I was trying to look at the rules as a Rookie BBplayer. So there might be quite obvious questions – at least for the Experienced Ones – but when you read it as a beginner, you doubt if they are really obvious.

1) p.7. (ReRoll) „A coach who is called for an illegal procedure must either end his turn or immediately lose one re-roll, which will count as the use of a team re-roll for the turn if one has not already been used. If the coach chooses to not end his turn and has no re-rolls left, then the opposing coach gains a re-roll.â€

I'll answer this last point because it affects some of the other questions.

When Action has a capital A it refers specifically to the "List of Actions" on page 7. So a player can only take one Action each turn and only from that list. Some Actions can only be used by one player per turn.

If the word "action" is used without the capital A it refers to anything the player does whether or not the player is taking an Action at that time. so catching the ball is an action that usually does not occur during that player's Action, whereas picking up the ball is an action that can only occur during the player's Action.

If possible find different words for "Action" and "action" to avoid this confusion when translating.

1) When the player literally has no more RR left on his track.

2) Good question. I have always played that to have to declare the least possible action. So if you dodged out before declaring, you can only continue with a Move action, and can't upgrade to a Blitz or Pass. Equally if you blocked first with the intention of moving away afterwards as part of a Blitz action, you have to stick with "just" a Block action.

However, this is really something to be agreed between coaches.

3) This should be an "action" without capitalisation.

4) D6.

5) Yes, you must make KO recovery rolls.

6) In the square they wanted to throw the block from.

7) This is a deliberate policy to encourage coaches to turnover players. You spotted the other problem, that a Skeleton with -1 AG would be worth more than 10K.

8 ) Yes, but you roll again to see if you can steal them.

9) It is just the way it works for balance reasons.

10) You have to stick with the same players.

11) No, just the -1AG aspect part is ignored. The player still misses a game and goes into the D&I box.

12) Just a typo, change it as you wish (most people go with the former).

13) Don't know.

14) Don't know.

15) Yes.

16) You missed out the key part of the skill "If at the end of his action ...". The Vampire does not have to leave the field until the end of his action, so yes he could move his full allowance and drop the ball where his coach wants.

17) a) It happens in the opposition team's turn, so it cannot effect actions taken in his own turn.

b) No.

c) n/a

18 ) a) You choose to use DT after the dodge is declared, but before the dice is rolled. So this will never come up.

b) Same answer.

19) Typo. Use the Bonehead version.

20) Yes they must pay 3 MV.

21) Prehensile Tail stacks.

22) Prehensile Tail is passive ... you can use it regardless of whether you use Shadowing or Diving Tackle aswell.

23) See this thread, but basically Shadowing requires a dodge roll to be made, so you would already have decided to use or not use Diving Tackle anyway. Prehensile Tail is passive and so doesn't require a decision.

24) Yes.

25) Yes.

No, you can choose to use DT after seeing the dice roll...if they roll a 6 and needed a 4+ to dodge, then you probably won't use it...similarly, if they roll a 1, there is no need to use DT.

You can use any skill after seeing the die roll.

you get to re-set up..including using players in reserves. You are not restricted to just the players on the pitch.[/quote]BlackOrc ... all of Gortex's answers are correct except this one. You have to only use the players that are on the pitch at the kick-off. There are no rules in Blood Bowl that allow you to bring players in from reserves once the drive starts.
