Steve ... if you are going to throw shots from the cheap seats ... at least throw your cans somewhat at the right targets. The new rules are MORE violent than LRB 4.0 ... not less. There are no marshmallows here ... you must be thinking of a different game.

Nag. Nag. Nag. It's a marshmallow bowl move and I'll call it what I like.

Yep, this is marshmallow bowl and that's why Varag Ghoul-chewer is a star ! :D

P.S. : I also think there are more casualties now, less matchs with a few players at the beginning thanks to journeymen, but more casualties (your player suffers a fractured skull, da apoth comes and oops that's a smashed knee!)

The new rules are MORE violent than LRB 4.0
I also think there are more casualties now
Why? No RSC, reduced claws and dirty player (sneaky git can't fix that)! I don't agree with "MORE violent" and "more casualties".

Those items are more than offset by new Piling On, worse Apothecaries, inducements giving underdogs more hitting power, Mighty Blow stacking with Claw, and Claw being a normal skill roll for Chaos.

Not talking theory on this on either. Virtually every league that has reported a comparison has said LRB 5.0 is more violent.

Are they? They've also been woosified by benches deep with faceless journeymen so the players dying aren't even yours. Wooo. I'm scared.

It's a different game. Getting used to it but it's not the same.

benches aren't filled with journymen..since you can only get journeymen if you have less than 11 players available to play the next match--and only then to 'fill up' your team to 11 players. So, with journeymen only, you'll have to set up everyone for the Kickoffs.

Now, you can use treasury and/or inducements to buy stars and mercs, which can go over 11 players--but mercs are very overpriced (on purpose) and stars seem to be either very good, or horrible :)

Yes they are

You mean the journeymen you got because the rules were more violent and your team was crushed to less than 11 players ... yeah those journeymen ... sure ... yup those guys sure prove your point.

i can say that the SBBL (Sudbury Bloodbowl League)has had more cas reported now that we are playing LRB5 at the same time as LRB4.

And the journeyman rule has helped to stop teams from dropping out. :D

Yes I would agree with that, the game is more violent, the turn over rate of players is quite high, but at least the journey men rule means you get 11 players at the start of a match, which gives even more SPP to the opponents for killing them!

:D :D :D :D :D :D
