Good Karma Cards, how to play them

Post by zephard »

Ok, I play PBeM, and got a card call the Chainsaw.

Well it says "Play before setting up for a drive".

So do I have to play it before my opponent sets up if he is kicking off to me?

If at first one doesn't succeed, and doesn't try again, then he will never succeed.

No, if he's kicking to you, you play it when you set up for the drive - ie when you setup to receive.

It's generally to your advantage to wait to play Chainsaw until you receive anyway. It allows you to stick the Chainsawer on the LOS and saves your blitz action on the first turn. Just cross your fingers for a kickoff result that isn't perfect defence.

Maybe, but I see alot of stacked up 3 man defensive fronts (LOS fodder that's huddled together for warmth and protection) and putting the chainsaw player on the middle of those three will make him impossible to takeout on the blitz if the rest of your formation is solid enough to not give any defender a free pass into the backfield..
