Forgive me if this is obvious in the rules (just say i rolled 1 for myself) but..........

at start of game, an ogre on LOS, does the numpty have a tackle zone yet as no dice roll has occured for bonehead? kinda has implications when i had to put 3 rats on the line to promptly get squished :-?

ive recently come back to the beloved game & am trying to get up to speed with the rules so this probably wont be my last stupid question post

Yes he does have a tackle zone until he fails a roll.

So in theory if the coach didn't want to do anything with the player he could stand in that square the entire half and have his tackle zone.

Yes, he has a tackle zones until he rolls a 1 after declaring an action.

edit: damn! a little too late

And keep in mind that if he rolled a 1 he has no tackle zones until he rolls a 2+ later that drive.
