Each Niggle a player has adds +1 to any injury roll he suffers.

In effect, he starts feeling "stunty" (stunties have +1 to all injury rolls), or as the ol' folk used to say, "feeling puny"
As a connected aside, a Niggle is an injury just waiting to happen.... Whether or not one retires a Niggling injured player, I think, depends on the level of AV and the contributions that player makes to the team.... Strangely enough (in one game) a coach constantly gang blocked my Black Orc (AV9) trying to get what he thought was an easy 2 spp for the casualty.... Many games later, the Blorc is still on my team... and coaches no longer pick on him exclusively since I'm happy to score touchdowns whether he is on the ground or not....
I'd be antsy, however, if the player had AV7....
Anyway, just some thoughts....

Thx I already saw it, but since I have heard no complaints about this rule change, I figured the +1 was in addition to the old rule about rolling to enter the pitch! Also I wasn't sure if it was +1 to the cas table or +1 to injuries, but now I got it right. It's my blodge+side step ghoul so he is an injury (possibly death) wating to happen anyway. I guess I'll keep him a while yet....

Let them. They have an intrinsic value now that they didn't have before.

Hehe Snew, glad to see I'm not the only one who missed out. I like the new rules better. I tended to retire nigglings in previous editions

I always thougth that was the point of Nigglings.
They really get to play every game? Man, I used to cringe when a player got a niggling, but if this is true, no more.

Don't underestimate what a +1 to injury does. It can lead to playing shorthanded very quickly...

Niggling Injury: Miss next game as above. In addition, write an ‘N’ in
the Injuries box on the team roster. Each Niggling Injury adds 1 to any
subsequent Injury roll made against this player.

I'm one hundred percent certain Galak has given the correct answer.
