Stab/Stake & Chainsaw

Under normal LRB5 rules I'm assuming that CAS's inflicted in these ways (as opposed to a normal block) do not give the player the usual 2 SPP's for a CAS unless there are house rules to indicate otherwise.
If I'm wrong please correct me...

I know it's definitely true for chainsaws:
Chainsaw (Extraordinary)
A player armed with a chainsaw must attack with it instead of making a
block as part of a Block or Blitz Action... Casualties caused by a chainsaw player do not count for Star Player points.
And looks the same for stab:
Stab (Extraordinary)
A player with this skill is armed with something very good at stabbing,
slashing or hacking up an opponent, like sharp fangs or a trusty dagger... Casualties caused by a stabbing attack do not count for Star Player points.

And I only know of the Star Player to have stakes so one would not expect to worry about SPPs for her, but she "Stabs". And you see the rules for Stab.

It's also expressely mentioned in the section on gaining CAS SPPs.
p.26
Casualties (CAS): If a player causes an opposing player to be removed as a Casualty then they earn 2 Star Player points. The points are only earned if the player blocks an opponent or is blocked by an opponent himself. Casualties inflicted in any other way (including injuries inflicted by the crowd or from attacks with chainsaws, bombs, or the Stab skill) do not count for Star Player points.

I thought I was right, and on putting my LRB into plastic sleeves yesterday spotted the section that Snew just quoted, I just wanted to make extra sure as there's a Dark Elf team in our league/cup and it's the first time (barring Star Players) that we've had anybody with Stab as a part of a team.

I think that the I "HEART" SNEW campaign bumper sticker confused you there. Fen quoted the passage.
