Declare multiple actions

Hey there !

This question popped up in our league play some time ago. While we anwered it for ourselves, I wanted to double check on this.

As we all know, you have to declase every action before doing something with your player. Is is legal to declare 2 actions at the same time, like Pass and Hand-off ?

Please reread the question carefully, I'm not asking about actually doing 2 actions with the same player, only declaring them. So I could move to the ball, pick it up, and decide after the pick-up roll (and after seeing wether I needed a Reroll or not) if I'd like to pass the ball or make a hand-off.

No, it's not legal to declare a two actions e.g. Pass/Hand Off action for one player. You may only declare one action at the start of a players turn, each action is mutually exclusive. You can either Blitz, Foul, Block, Move Pass or Hand Off. You cannot spend two of those choices on a single player to try and increase your options.

C'mon. You already know the answer to this. No. You have to really decide what you want/need to do and declare that. No wishy-washy cover-your-ass stuff going on.

As a side note, I know a lot of people that declare a pass almost anytime they try and pick up the ball, just in case they decide to try it later. It doesn't hurt since it's a one per turn action and it is only possible if the pick-up is successful. You don't have to throw the ball just becsue you declared it.
