What position do Beastmen play?

Post by Rev »

Hi all.

I'm a player who colour codes his bases depending on player position.

I've recently put together a chaos team, and am struggling to clarify my the Beastmen.

Linemen? (0-16)
Blitzers? (horns)
Blockers?

I'd appreciate your thoughts!

0-16 would make them Linemen I guess. :)

lol

yeh but dwarf blockers are 0-16 and positionally not linos!

I've gone for linemen with the gray base ring.

They are whatever you need them to be. And considering Chaos at their beginning, they need to be a little of everything!

With a few skills each they can be great at most tasks given them. Give the majority of them Block and Guard and they make excellent linesmen that are able to make a Blitz when need be. Give a one Extra Arms and Sure Hands and he becomes a decent runner/catcher to hide inside a Cage (with Sure Hands just in case someone tries to use Strip Ball). Give another Sure Hands and Strong Arm and he becomes a decent ball retriever and Short Pass thrower (throwing to the Extra Arms Beastman, of course). And lastly give one or two Block and Frenzy and they will become feared blitzers and crowd pushers.

It'll take at least twenty games before you have a team like that, however. So prepare to suffer until then.

Baserining Chaos is a bit to much, but I would make CW green (blockers) and Beastmen red (Blitzers) simply because having so many blitzers looks intimidating :)

Inititally the beastmen will fill the role of linemen and blitzers, but as they develop they will take on different roles. Remember, the beastmen really have no set position. I've developed mine to take on different rolls.

What happens with the beastman that roles doubles and you give him pass? Or the one that gets the move increase? Beastmen are the players that are used to develope the positionals that other teams start with.
