Reroll interceptions during Dump Off

Post by Warpstone »

A quick question: I blitz a Dark Elf runner who dumps it off. My player in best position to intercept is an AG4 with NOS so I can pick it off at 4+.

My roll fails, but since the dump off occurs during my turn, can I use a team reroll on my interception attempt (worth it at 4+) or can my interceptor only reroll this with Pro?

It's in your turn so you can use a TRR. There was a related discussion a couple of months ago (concerning pass block and failing dodges), and the equivalent point was made then.

Sorry for being so picky, but interception is -2, so you'll need a 5+ with AG4 players (AG4 - 2 = 2 --> going to 7 means rolling 5 or 6). Remember, you do not get the +1 for the accurate pass as the receiver would get!

The subtraction is from the die roll, not from your agility.

Agility 4 = 3+ on the die roll, so you roll 1d6-2, which gives you a range of -1 to 4. 3 and 4 succeed. Most people just add the penalty to the target number instead, so a -2 penalty to a 3+ roll, becomes 5+, which is effectively the same thing (since 6-2 =4 and 5-2=3). But you don't apply the modifier to the agility stat.

In this case the interceptor is a Slann so he got very long legs.
I can see him now included in the game file, a note, use TRR if interception failed.

:(

You could asked me Warpstone, I would have told you.
Thanks for not asking so early in the game. :P

If at first one doesn't succeed, and doesn't try again, then he will never succeed.
