Hiya,
I am unsure on how to induce star players in the roster.
1. Can you buy them in the start of a league/ tournament roster, or do you need to earn enough gold to purchase them? or can they only be taken as inducements against teams with a higher team rating value?
2. Can star players take your number of big guys above the ammount allowed on your team roster? for example, can I take my 0-2 allowance of treemen in a 'fling team, and then buy deeproot and effectivley field 3 treemen?
3. Do you have to have the gold available in your treasury to pay for them in every game, and does their cost count towards the team rating value?
Sorry if this seems like basic stuff, but its something I am unsure of and would like clarifying.
Cheers me dears!

1) stars can not be bought
they can be hired as inducements, either from money you get as being the underdog, or through treasury money you set aside for inducements.
2) stars have no relation to standard positions, yes you can get three trees this way
3) gold set aside counts towards team value, even if not spent on inducements
the above are lrb5 answers off the top of my head. possibly wrong, and may have been changed for 6

Re: question about using star players
If you have enough money in treasury you can transfer the gold to Petty Cash (which will increase your TV for that game) and then hire the Star(s). If you are the Underdog, you can purchase Stars using inducement cash. EITHER way ... the star only plays for your for ONE GAME and then leaves (sometimes with the MVP for that game).orkydave wrote:1. Yes. Star Players have no race or position. So you can take any star or two stars for your team regardless of what players are already on the team. It is very normal for an underdog Halfling team to induce Deeproot along with the 2 Treemen he already has.2. Can star players take your number of big guys above the ammount allowed on your team roster? for example, can I take my 0-2 allowance of treemen in a 'fling team, and then buy deeproot and effectivley field 3 treemen?
If you don't have inducement cash to get the star for your team ... than yes you must use treasury cash to "rent" then for that one game. And yes if you use treasury cash (which does NOT count towards your team's TV) to hire a star ... then that star will add to your Team Value for that game.3. Do you have to have the gold available in your treasury to pay for them in every game, and does their cost count towards the team rating value?
IE ... if you team is TV 158 and has 600000 gold in the treasury and you transfer 420000 gold to hire Morg for the game. Then you opponent will treat your team as TV 200 for the game (158+42).
