Triple Dice on a Big Guy

Is it possible to throw a 3 dice block against a Big Guy (or anyone with Str5 or more)?

I ask because it states in the rules that no stat may go above 10. However, if a treeman blocks a Str5 with 5 assists he is technically Str11 for the purposes of the block, therefore 3 dice.

So basically, can assists take you above Str10?

the movement can go above 10 ... i think..... therefore, yes assist take you to throw a 3 dice block against str 5.

The bit about "no increase above 10" only counts for improvement rolls - it has no effect on the field, else you could never use more than 2 assists (as characteristics can also not be increased by more than 2 over the starting value).

No characteristic can be increased above 10 - see LRB5 p.26.
