This came up on the FUMBBL forum earlier today...

I was playing a game earlier and this came up where I crowd pushed a sidestepping catcher by pushing a lineman into him. And what if my played had grab? Would that cancel the the sidestep even with another player in between?
The first part is pretty simple, obviously a player can use sidestep whenever they are pushed back regardless of the source of the pushback.

The second part seems like a pretty obvious "no, it wouldnt cancel the sidestep". However, when you actually read the grab rules he is correct... "When making a block or blitz action, grab and sidestep will cancel each other out and the standard pushback rules apply". Please tell me that this is wrong somehow :)

Hmmmm, here's my question:

I block a regular bloke into one of my guys with grab... and he gets chained into an opposing player....

May I use grab on that subsequent player (providing he doesn't have sidestep to cancel the grab)...?

Can I use it if chained into my own player?

Q: Suppose my opponent pushes back one player into a second player.
Who decides where the second player ends up?
A: The coach of the moving team decides all pushback directions unless
the pushed player has Side Step. If the player has Side Step, his coach
decides where he is pushed to. (note: Grab cannot be used on
secondary or more push backs to cancel out Side Step.)
