Is it possible to use wizards just after the kicking phase is resolved, before oppenent turn?

Your turn has neither just begun nor just ended. So nope, sorry.

If you roll blitz on the kick-off result you can use the wizard!

Yeah, given its a bonus turn, and you can use a wizard at the beginning or end of a turn then that's AOK.

If you are troubled by one turners it would be an okay house rule IMO. Something like:
Wizards are particularly good at stopping "one turn wonders". If you opponent has a player carrying the ball in the endzone and you have not had a turn this drive then you may use the wizard immediately to try and prevent a TD being scored

Mwahahah. See the drop in popularity of Skaven in that league!

As the Skav coach I'd happily burn the wizard early on against a one turner if I've flooded the backfield with the other gutters to prevent easy recovery by the receiving team. That way he's not going to stop my break away score.

Anyway, one turners are boring and anything to make them less reliable is good IMO. The only downside is that I can't see a clean way to prevent wizards being used on TTMs as well.

my take on it:

why can't the wizard be used at the start of any turn, most the cards can be used after a kick off has been resolved, this is essentially saying the same thing

don't have a problem with it being used against one turners from TTM either

the lightening still fails on a 1, so that will be great against orc teams trolls

the stunty teams have 2 big guys, so you can get both of them unless you get lucky with a fireball

most of the time you will only have a wizard from inducements, I imagine a lot of the time people are taking other inducements over a wizard as well

so you are the underdog anyway, ergo the other team shouldn't be relying on a one turner anyway ;]

so, where is the downside?

I've been for that for a long time.

I guess that it will sting races that rely on OTS. So it would be "unfair".
But really, OTS is the least interesting part of BB, so I couldn't care less about "unfair" here.

Cheers

I find a stunty 1 turner very exciting, even when I am not the stunty.

Other 1 turns not so interesting.

Though the last turn OTS is nail biting when its deciding a win or tie.

I don't mind one turners if they take a lot of strategy. Having to do multiple chain pushes and the like. But a straight run with ounly a couple of GFIs is rather uninteresting.

I love having to do three chain pushes with a sidestepping skink, throw a pass and then still have to dodge twice and push it twice to make it to the EZ. And moste of the time I fail, but it is spectaular when it works.

I think the reason for the current wording might be to avoid the questions about turnovers caused by wizards - i.e. if my wizard knocks over a player during my opponents turn that is a turnover right?

Not insurmountable by any means.

change it to "before any teams turn starts"

job done
