Juggernaut (Strength)
A player with this skill is virtually impossible to stop once he is in motion.
If this player takes a Blitz Action, then opposing players may not use
their Fend, Stand Firm or Wrestle skills against blocks, and he may
choose to treat a ‘Both Down’ result as if a ‘Pushed’ result has been
rolled instead.

First time I am going to play this skill and I just want to clarify all the bases.

Clarify Please: The Juggernaut skill is only used with a blitz action and is not used outside of a blitz?

I am just querying the part about treating a ‘Both Down’ result as if a ‘Pushed’ result has been rolled instead. That that is only if he blitzes or can he do that any time a block result is rolled (ie for or against him)

I gather it is all only when he blitzes and at no other time.

Just to elaborate:
Example
Juggernaut (Strength)
A player with this skill is virtually impossible to stop once he is in motion.
If this player takes a Blitz Action, then opposing players may not use
their Fend, Stand Firm or Wrestle skills against blocks. He may choose to
treat a ‘Both Down’ result as if a ‘Pushed’ result has been rolled instead.
Now the choice to use Both Down as a Pushed is always active (and somewhat ambiguous).

Now you have a correlative conjunction with the "take a Blitz Action" part, and therefore the latter is only applying if the former is true.

Most/many rules work like this, just read them as written and apply logic. :)

Now I am confused. Which logic do I apply to this rule.

That the treat a ‘Both Down’ result as if a ‘Pushed’ result is always active or only during a blitz action?

The original text you quated has no full stop anywhere. Only commas. The opening contingent of a Blitz action applies to all of the abilities.

Juggernaut is ONLY used on Blitz Actions!

I'm not sure I understand you. But "treat a ‘Both Down’ result as if a ‘Pushed’" taken out of context implies that it always work. However, that's not how the rule are written - and if you follow my example above you'll see you follow the logic of:

If [you perform a specified Action] you Blitz
then [this happens] opposing players can not use Fend, Stand Firm or Wrestle]
and [this ALSO happens if you perform the first mentioned Action] you can treat a Both Down as a Pushed.

EDIT: this is directed at Skritter. Lots of ninja posts in between :)

Probably better than any of my explanations. Cheers :D

With juggernaut both down results can be treated as a push only in blitz actions. Thats all you need to know.

It's the next best thing to block for big guys especially ones with frenzy.

Hi,

does Juggernaut work on chainpushs? Let's say, a slayer with Juggernaut pushes the first player into 3 opposing players, that all gained the Stand Firm skill. Is the player with Juggernaut able to push one of them back as it is said in the skill "then opposing players(!!!) may not use their Fend, Stand Firm or Wrestle skills" or is "opposing players" meant as "only the opposing player he's blitzing".

Greetz,
gan

Does it work on a "rooted treeman" to push him?

Interesting. I'd say from the wording that none of them get to use Stand Firm - "then opposing players may not use their Fend, Stand Firm or Wrestle skills against blocks"

Take root still works so he doesn't move.

But the chain-pushed players are not facing blocks directly. They're facing pushes from players who themselves have been blocked.

So, off the top of my head, I would argue against Ian on this one.

But I'm open-minded about the outcome.

I agree with Smeborg here... although the s seems to be an anomoly in the Juggernaut wording.
