Ball and Chain
Just a quick question about a ball and chain player, do you get SPPs from the blocks? The ball and chain entry says when you move into another player, treat it as a block. In the cas SPP entry, ball and chain is not listed as an example of a secret weapon that does not genertae SPPs. So if a Ball and chain player can get up to 8 SPPs in one turn from blocks (if it was v lucky), why exclude bombs, for example.

Sounds like you have 2 questions.
1. Can Ball and Chain get SPPs for moving which is causing blocks, answer: Yes.
2. Why don't other SWs like Bombs gains SPPs, answer: they are not throwing Blocks. So if your Bomber starts throwing blocks and getting CASs that way, they get SPPs. Chainsaws and Stabbers are not throwing blocks either. Stabbers can opt to throw a block, but a chainsaw wielder has to have others throw blocks at him.
Which makes me wonder, why we never have any Female Chainsaw wielders? I want a female carving up the carnage.

If at first one doesn't succeed, and doesn't try again, then he will never succeed.

Not really about risk.zephard wrote:So Galak it was about risk? I didn't realize it was risk/reward.
Its more that the fact that throwing bombs don't roll block dice than anything.
The CAS SPPs are linked to the block dice for rules ease. If you roll block dice you can earn SPPs ... it is to keep the rules simple. If you don't roll block dice ... no CAS SPPs.

I was about to address that. I'm pretty sure because you're not rolling armour dice. Basically Galak was just making a rule of thumb and didn't mean for folks to generalize his statement.Tripleskull wrote:That opens up for the question: Why no spp for surfing - got both risk and block dice?
I'm pretty sure that the powers wanted BB to remove easy CAS SPPs from things like surfing, fouling, etc.

Crowd serving can also be achieved by pushbacks. To gain SPP's your player on the pitch must really knock down a player and go through the armour.Alamar wrote:I was about to address that. To achieve that you need either POW, POW block or POW dodge, depending on the skills of the opponent. To achieve a crowd push you allready have 4 possibilities to achieve that. POW, POW dodge and 2 * Push, also depending on the opponents skills.
Then no armour roll is made.
But fluff wise, it's not your player who is ripping the opponents player, it's the crowd. So why would your player get credit for that....
