Hail Mary Pass + Stunty

I was lucky, and rolled double 4s on my halfling Rorimac, and I think I'll pick Hail Mary Pass. But as my halfling is Stunty, will he fumble the pass on roll 1-2, because a player with Stunty but must subtract 1
from the roll when they pass?
Please, help me!

Afraid so.

That said, a 3+ is significantly better odds than a normal short pass and opens up a whole new tactical option for the mighty flings.

For what it's worth I've a 'fling with +AG and Pass and wish I'd taken Accurate instead of Pass on the double (as TRRs are rarely in short supply).

actually, no, they would not take a penalty to a hail mary pass. A hail mary pass is only ever fumbled on a 1..even if you are stunty and in 8 tackle zones.

Although this is right for normal passing skills it is incorrect for HMP. HMP is a straight 2+ roll with no modifiers so is a good choice on stunty teams. A couple of diving catchers downfield and fingers crossed :)

Oops. I'll go and sit in the corner with the "D" cap.

That said, perhaps the FAQ should mention Stunty alongside tackle zones ans Disturbing Presence as I'd always interpreted a HMP as a Pass?

It's a 2-6 roll, like Bonehead. It's not "make a normal Pass AG skill roll as if the player's AG is 5" or anything else that results in a target of 2. It's simply a not-natural-1 roll. The skill description is explicit. In fact, it (admittedly implicitly) says that there is no roll to pass, merely a roll to not fumble:

Emphasis mine.
