pg 30 upper right paragraph
Typically there are two semi-final matches followed by a final.
Inducement and treasury gold may not be used to induce
Star Players or Mercenaries for these matches as the NAF,
while not monitoring day to day games on the road to the finals,
enforces using your own team for these important matches!
To clarify:
This limitation is in effect for all rounds (ie 7 with 64 players) regardless of the number of rounds???

I guess you are right, by the letter of the law. But this is prime house rule territory. I'd say the semis and finals ARE intended to be star free, and anything before the quarters really wasn't considered.

In the OBBL (Oakland) we use the regular season to eliminate about half the teams, and then a 3 round seeded tourney with no stars to determine the league champion. This feels perfect to me (not a rule, of course, just my personal taste- good job commish!)

I am planning for the future
this season (ends the 31st) will be top 16 (of 48)
but it looks like the Summer season may be top 32 (estimated 70-75)

see you guys at the West Coast Quake

Nope, just the last two. However I'd really strongly recommend just treating the league organisation (including play offs) as suggestions within the rules, rather than rules. House rule them as you wish and do not treat that section as gospel.
