Chainsaw hits foul apperance. Kick back first or the ugly? I seems like it would be ugly but sometimes these things go the opposite of what "seems" right.(eg. interceptions).S.

the kickback roll replaces the block dice, so it must come after the foul appearance roll

Kickback is not like Really Stupid it does not happen until you are ready to roll the dice for the "block"
"When the chainsaw is used to make an attack, roll a D6 instead of the Block dice"
