A bombadier takes the pitch and throws a bomb, which is subsequently intercepted or caught by an Ogre. The LRB states that whenever a player takes a "Capital A" action, he must make a bonehead roll. The rules for bombadier state that catching a bomb lets a player take an out of turn "Action" to re-throw the bomb.

Does this require a bonehead roll?
I'd say yes. But I'm not sure.[/url]

no, he does not roll bonehead. You roll for bonehead after "declaring an Action". Tho Bombadier is a 'special bonus Action' you don't have to declare it, you get to do it out of normal turn order sequence. Since you don't declare the action, you don't have to roll for Bonehead

(why did they make this a 'special bonus Action?' seems like a conflict waiting to happen to me, now--granted, I usually skim over most of the secret weapon skills unless I'm going to use them, so I don't know them as well...)

I would say no.

However, if he had failed bonehead in his previous turn, presumably this means he could not catch the ball and it would automatically explode on him?

No Bobnehead, as he's not "declaring an Action" (which the Bonehead rule specifically states).

The same thing would be for Vampires then and Bloodlust correct?

Assuming Blood lust uses the same wording for the other nega-traits, "roll when you declare an Action", then correct, no BL roll to throw an intercepted bomb.

Correct.
