Hello,

In Our local league we came up with this situation:

Does the ball ocupies an square or can we push back a player to that square even if other options are available?

Yes you can. It can be a nice way to move the ball

Living Rulebook, page 10, "Push backs": A square containing only the ball is considered empty
and a player pushed to it will cause the ball to bounce
