Sahdowing and Diving Tackle

A catcher tries to leave the tackle zone of an opposing safety having both Shadowing (can be used whenever a player performing an action on the opposing team moves out of any of his tackle zones) and Diving Tackle (can be used only when a player "attempts to dodge out of any of his tackle zones").
Can the safety try to use Shadowing before Diving Tackle (if the shadowing fails), or does it have to use Diving Tackle first?

You have to use Diving Tackle first, though if they roll high enough on the dodge for it to have no effect, then you would use Shadowing
You can only use shadowing if someone successfully leaves your tackle zone, if they have done that and you fail shadowing, then it is too late to use diving tackle cause they are no longer dodging away.
Make sense?

Shadowing (n):
1) Point Sink on DE Assassin to justify 90k pricetag;
2) Good #4 skill for the #4 Gutter Runner or High/Pro Elf Catcher, or maybe a +MA/Tackle Norse Lineman, probably after Pro, Fend or Sure Hands.
If there were a team that had MA7+ players who started with Prehensile Tail and G access... it would be a #2 or #3 selection.

Thanks guys. I was thinking of giving Shadowing as a late skill to a Slann Blitzer, probably after Guard, Tackle and (possibly) Block.

Hasdrubal - ideally a player with Shadowing will also have Sidestep (or Stand Firm). Otherwise it is quite easy to push him away from the player he is marking.
