Eclipse and ineffect neg traits

Post by daloonieshaman »

Player plays eclipse
when it is played a player is suffering from a neg trait

Take Root
Bone Head
Really Stupid
(whatever I missed but you get the idea)

do they remain in that state (I know they lose the trait in terms of rolling)

Technically a "state" should be different from a skill, so they should loose the skill but keep the state. Right?

Correct, I would also add that I believe the conditions for the "state" removal are part of the state as well. Thus Troll or Ogre without a TZ could get it back once activated. If a Treeman that had Rooted turned Goblin was Knocked Down he would lose Rooted.

Again going by the same assumption, re-gaining the skill would not give him the state back, since the state is acquired only when the player declares an action while having the skill. So you goblin runs around, the eclipse ends, and pop! He's a treeman again, this time unrooted.

That would be my opinion.
