Hand Off to Opponent?
Hello, title says it all. I had a search but couldn't find an answer. You can definitely pass the ball to an opo, but can you hand it off to them?

Of course:
A hand-off is where the ball is simply handed to another player,
friend or foe, in an adjacent square.

Does the opponent have to agree to except the handoff?
Also why would you want too (maybe desperate s.p.p).

Hand offs don't give SPPs.

Ball sack...
House rule maybe....
Anyway, a successful hand-off to an opponent would be a turnover.
Oh, and no, an opponent doesn't get the choice - you always have to attempt to catch the ball if it enters your square

Re: Hand Off to Opponent?
Is so obvious when you say it. Otherwise they could refuse to grab the scatter and continue to let it bounce..
Oh yeah, it is a house rule (sorry forgot). 1 point of spp for knocking the ball free from the ball carrier. Its a very fair rule IMHO and has worked well in our league. Sack = knocking down a player, Ball sack= knocking down the ball carrier. Though the phrase 'my amazons got several ball sacks' is never not funny..... ok matbe not.

Just talked to my partner and he has heard it used before in american football matches. He's a cowboys fan.

Re: Hand Off to Opponent?
i've heard the term sack
i've heard the term ball
i've not heard them say ball sack
they say sack(ed) the quarterback, or sacked the player (it is only used for the quarterback right? hitting the running back is just a tackle?)
ball sack though just means something else entirely, you could be right, I've not watched as many games as a die hard fan would
it just isn't on normal tv here without being on in the early hours of the morning, though I feel I would remember if they said ball sack as it is hilarious ;]

In America, the real term, Ball Sack , does not refer to the game of football per say it refers to your scrotum

Re: Hand Off to Opponent?
getting SPP for forcing the ball out of your opponent's hands is a bit OTT no? You could get 3 SPP (Cass plus teabag... ball sack) and then pick up then pick up the ball and score. Total: 6spp in one action. It's a little bit excessive.
Also with my lizards I often admit loosing the ball, skinks often don't have block nor sure hands, so popping the ball loose is not that exceptional. Picking it up and getting a TD that's the real proof of success which is lot harder when I have enough skinks surrounding the ball.

Re: Hand Off to Opponent?
Isn't this a turnover anyway because a player on the moving team has not caught the ball ?
