Bombardier and Dump-Off?
Searched and found nothing so time to ask.
If I give the Bombardier Dump-Off can he 'Dump-Off' a Bomb when Blitzed?
If so, can he Quick Pass the bomb to the player Blitzing him?
CRP says 'ALL skills that may be used when a ball is thrown may be used when a bomb is thrown also.'
What if the dumped-off ball was caught and thrown back to the Bombardier? If the Bombardier was Knocked Down would the Blitz that started all this be wasted?

Re: Bombardier and Dump-Off?
dump off cannot be used in conjunction with the bombadier skill
Dump-Off (Passing)
This skill allows the player to make a Quick Pass when an opponent
declares that he will throw a block at him, allowing the player to get rid of
the ball before he is hit. Work out the Dump-Off pass before the
opponent makes his block. The normal throwing rules apply, except that
neither team’s turn ends as a result of the throw whatever it may be and
Dump-Off cannot be Pass Blocked. After the throw is worked out your
opponent completes the block, and then carries on with his turn. Dump-
Off may not be used on the second block from an opponent with the
Frenzy skill or in conjunction with the Bombardier or Throw Team-Mate
skills

Re: Bombardier and Dump-Off?
If it worked with Bombardier, wouldn't it mean that even if you decided to Block him, there'd be a really good chance of a turnover? In other words, sounds like a fun change, but the ramifications would be harsh

Re: Bombardier and Dump-Off?
And makes some fluff sense-if a guy wanted to hit you, you'd probably try and bomb him, right? Or try to get rid of the bomb in your hand at least.
And its not as if this boost would make an enormous differemce to the strength of the team.

Think the rule probably makes sense as is.nazgob wrote:And makes some fluff sense-if a guy wanted to hit you, you'd probably try and bomb him, right? Or try to get rid of the bomb in your hand at least.

Bombs are supposed to be slow which is why it takes the players full action to light it & launch it.

Think about this: I'll mark your ball carrier or the front corner of your cage with my Bombardier who has Dump-Off. What will you do?
