Throw Team Mate
Quick question... When a big guy with Agility 2 uses the Throw Team Mate skill - Assuming there are no tackle zones on him at the time does he Fumble on the roll of a 2?

Re: Throw Team Mate
Only when doing a short pass, not a quick pass and this goes for all kinds of AG.

Re: Throw Team Mate
Yes. And here's why..
My emphasis. So the roll of a 2 becomes a 1. A 1, whether rolled or modified to a 1, is a fumble. You need Strong Arm to counter the -1. Hence why Treemen dont fumble on 2's. Or do a Quick, 3 square pass.Rule Book pg 68 wrote: Throw Team-Mate (Extraordinary)
A player with this skill has the ability to throw a player from the same
team instead of the ball! (This includes the ball if the player thrown
already has it!) The throwing player must end the movement of his Pass
Action standing next to the intended team-mate to be thrown, who must
have the Right Stuff skill and be standing. The pass is worked out exactly
the same as if the player with Throw Team-Mate was passing a ball,
except the player must subtract 1 from the D6 roll when he passes the
player, fumbles are not automatically turnovers, and Long Pass or Long
Bomb range passes are not possible. In addition, accurate passes are
treated instead as inaccurate passes thus scattering the thrown player
three times as players are heavier and harder to pass than a ball. The
thrown player cannot be intercepted. A fumbled team-mate will land in
the square he originally occupied. If the thrown player scatters off the
pitch, he is beaten up by the crowd in the same manner as a player who
has been pushed off the pitch. If the final square he scatters into is
occupied by another player, treat the player landed on as Knocked Down
and roll for Armour (even if already Prone or Stunned), and then the
player being thrown will scatter one more square. If the thrown player
would land on another player, continue to scatter the thrown player until
he ends up in an empty square or off the pitch (i.e., he cannot land on
more than one player). See the Right Stuff entry to see if the player lands
on his feet or head-down in a crumpled heap!

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Re: Throw Team Mate
but if it is a quick pass, it's 2-1+1 for a 2..so it's not a fumble..so he only fumbles on a 1 if he throws the goblin for a quick pass..or gets strong arm and never fumbles on anything but a 1 now (since you can't throw a long or long bomb teammate)

Yep, and Treemen need Strong Arm to counteract the fact they're AG1, not AG2 like the OP asked.

Re: Throw Team Mate
Cool cheers for the clarification. My Goblin on my Chaos Pact Team has just rolled Agility for the 2nd time! So giving the Ogre Strong Arm means him only fumbling on a roll of 1 & the Goblin landing on anything but a 1... Makes quite a dangerous combination...

Don't forget Tackle Zones on the Throw and/or Landing.PlanetTJ wrote:Cool cheers for the clarification. My Goblin on my Chaos Pact Team has just rolled Agility for the 2nd time! Re: Throw Team Mate
good spot darkson. I was half asleep when i wrote that
but is there a difference between ag1 and ag2 when it comes to throw team mate? You cant be accurate and the fumble is still on the same roll. Or am i completely wrong? (soz for poor grammar and spelling, posting on the phone, to avoid doing any work)

Re: Throw Team Mate
No difference between AG's at all Mr Lunchmeat... It's always a 3up at Short Pass without Strong Arm (one of the reasons I like giving my Troll that skill in tournaments)
