When do the ball comes to rest

Post by stashman »

Have a question, not sure about it.

Ball is passed, it is unaccurate and lands in a square beside the intended catcher. Ball bounce to catcher that catches ball. Is it a turn-over?

Have always played as long as it touches ground, not in air it's a turn-over.

It's only a turn-over* if the ball doesn't end up in the hands of a player on the moving team - doesn't matter how it get's there. The ball could even scatter off the pitch and be thrown in by the crowd.

* Obviously, a Fumble is a turn-over, even if it does end up in a player's hands.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
