Blocking question.......

Ok so I was in the last turn of the second half of a Pbem game and my Norse thrower was 9 squares from the endzone. He couldnt not have got a touchdown even with 2 GFI (MA=6) but I have one of my players near him. Would it be allowed for my own player to blitz my thrower to try to push him 1 square closer to the endzone?? That assuming he gets a pushback result and My own guy doesnt clean his clock. I am just wondering if it would have been allowed?? The game was not in question as the score was 3-0 for me but I need the SSP to get a roll. Can you block you own players. If someone knows for sure then please let me know. It is too late for that game but for future reference.......

No sorry it says in the rulebook somewhere that you must blitz an opposing player, not sure if its in the blocking rules or anything, but you can't deliberatly throw a block (even in part of a blitz) to one of your own team.

Page 10 in the LRB the very two first lines in the block section:
Instead of moving a player may throw a block at an opposing player who is in an adjacent square
So no, you may not block your own players

Occasionally you can manage to push an opponent and have him push your player into the end zone though.

You probably already realise this of course but it is some thing to look out for.
