Double 1s on Armor Roll
We had an interesting discussion last night during a gathering. Skill checks fail on a 1 always, no question.
Armor rolls don't have that text but is that just an omission simply because it never was considered?
Mainly you have a 4AV Snotling attacked with a Chainsaw and the player rolls double ones on the armor roll. As far as the rulebook states the 2d6 roll total was > AV so the player failed his armor roll.
But an interesting debate if that should count as a failure or not in the spirit of 1s failing.

Yes its cracks. It's not a skill roll.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.

Re: Double 1s on Armor Roll
the risk of failure is already cover by rolling for kick-back. No need for an additional rule about armour rolls.

Re: Double 1s on Armor Roll
Let me put it this way: if it concerned armor rolls, would it extend to injury, casualty and kick off/throw-in distance rolls as well?

Re: Double 1s on Armor Roll
Well, I'll agree that it breaks. But I think I'll elect not to roll for injury if it happens. Double aces on armour seems heroic enough to warrant that consideration.

No one yet but I assume the 4 AV Snotling will end up landing near the Chainsaw(hopefully on him) at some point in the game.Who hits a snotling with a chainsaw... that's just unsporting!
I would assume Goblins take great joy in treating Snotlings like Orcs trean Gobbos.

You can get the same issue by fouling most players with 6-7 assists!
