Leaping with "going for it"s

It came up in my last league match. My slann lineman is movement 6. He moves 6 spaces and then leaps 2 spaces away. At this time he has to do 2 GFIs and then the landing roll. My question is in timing (which roll goes first?) and more importantly, assuming the first GFI fails, where does he land? Does he still go all the way where he leaped?

This was important because I had a perfect cage around my ball carrier except for one spot. By jumping there, even if I failed (assuming no KO or casualty) I would be blocking the opening. We played it leaving the frog where it jumped, even if it failed the first GFI but I'm not sure if this is right and want to make sure.

He has to roll two 2+ for the GFIs before the landing roll as he can't try to land until the GFIs are successful. If he fails either roll he will crash to the ground in the square he was aiming for. This is akin to falling down in the square you were dodging to after a failed dodge roll.

IIRC he is move to his landing square and failure on any dice puts him splat on that square end of turn.

Unless there is a rule for hitting an occuppied square like a thrown stunty?

Nothing he eats it in the empty square (if he is a witch elf roll for injury straight off . )
