Clone ball and team re-roll

On french forums, a coach asked us if it was possible to use a team re-roll to re-roll the 4+ clone ball roll.

Naturally, I would have said it wasn't possible. But now that I've re-read the rules, I'm not so sure. It is written a coach may use a team re-roll to re-roll any dice roll (other than Scatter, Distance, Direction, Armour, Injury or Casualty rolls) made by a player on his own team and who is still on the pitch during their own turn.

According to the ball clone card, the first player that crosses into the end zone with one of the balls rolls a D6. On a 1-3 the ball vanishes and a touchdown is not a scored. On a 4+, a touchdown is scored.

This is a roll made by a player on his own team and who is still on the pitch during their own turn. This is not an exception listed in the rules (as Scatter, Distance, Direction, Armour, Injury or Casualty rolls) so I suppose this dice roll can be re-rolled with a team re-roll...

What do you think about that? ????

About you, is there something else in the rules that can help? ????

Its a fine distinction but its not actually a roll made for something the player on the pitch is doing. The card should more properly say the coach of the player rolls but it doesn't. It is not a roll that was meant to be allowed to be re-rolled.

Okay, thanks Galak for the quick answer. I thought that was this answer at the beginning but when I read the card I was no more sure. Thanks again!
