Creating Star Players-why does it feel so wrong?

i recently bought a mordheim skaven gang and used it to creat 2 Star Players for my skaven team. i created a Hakflem Skuttlespike and kind of my own creation of a skaven with custom armour and some nice large claws strapped to his hands. now, these are my questions:

A: is it frowned upon creat official star players out of spare parts?

B: are there any rules on how to creat your own star player from skratch? how do i know when i'm giving him too many stats, or toomany skills/traits, his cost-all that stuff

Thanx

If you're creating them, then they're not official now, are they?

Star players are generally disliked by the Blood Bowl community, so imagine fan-made ones! I guess that answers your question.

I don't think that anyone would begrudge your using converted models to represent star players. More likely is that they'll object to the use of star players at all! I think that convertions are on eof the driving features of the hobby, but I guess it depends on with whom you play. My entire Norse team is made up of plastic Marauders, and I think it looks better than the canonical Norse models.
