In The Bag?

Hi,

With the In The Bag handicap, can anyone advise what happens when you start to lose players?

Eg, if I have the handicap on me and I have 14 players, the 11 with the lowest SPPs take the field at the start. Say 3 of the 11 get injured, and another 3 get KO'd. That leaves me with 8 available players for the next kickoff.

Do my now recalculate who my worst 11 are out of the available (and niggled) players and thus field 8 players, or do I still count players who are KO'd and casualties in working out who has the least SPPs and thus field 5 players?

Thanks in advance :)

All your players can play in the subsequent drives.

I would say you can use all eight available, thats how we've always played it anyway. And unless they scored against you the effect is still in pay.

The clarification I've always seen is that its your 11 worst AVAILABLE players for the drive.

So yes, you'd get 8.

Do Star Players (who have theoretically no SPPs) count as having 61 or higher, or do they count as having no SPPs?

I would have thought the former, but at what level do you set them ?
Clearly Griff is more valuable than some Star Players.

One of the simplest rules I've heard for setting their SPP value: is their normal price / 1000.

This gives you a very simple baseline to compare to other players. It may not perfectly match up to how many "skill" rolls they've had, but its quick, simple, and dirty which is often a blessing in this game.

So Griff and Morg have 180 and 190 SPPs respectively for purposes of these rolls.

Scrappa and Fungus count as having 60 on the low end.
