Catching Bombs
If i use Bomma to toss a bomb to the oppenent player with the ball can he try to catch it without dropping the ball?
The Rules say the target player can catch as usual, but usual would be the ball and that exists only once on the pitch.
???,
Tim.

I'd say that he either catches the bomb and drops the ball, or keeps the ball and doesn't catch the bomb.
I guess there are no official rules for this yet, though...

If I recall correctly, the rules for Secret Weapons state pretty clearly that only the deathroller and the chainsaw keep you from handling the ball. If the goblin bomber can hold the ball and still throw his bombs, why can't an opponent catch them and thow them back when holding the ball?

Nowhere in the Bomb description does it have the "...player armed with X cannot catch or carry the ball." This text is in the Chainsaw and Fanatic descriptions. (looks like I was wrong about the Deathroller. It's been a while since I've seen one on the pitch.)
Of course, if you throw a bomb while holding the ball you can't move anywhere until the next turn.
This does mean that the goblin bombadier Star Player is a pretty good buy for a goblin team. He's not fragile and he has accurate...

Yes, by the rules he can hold the ball and throw a bomb...
And throwing the bomb (by other player) should be more like kicking it away (or something like it).... and they are small enought for getting it with one hand, if you are skilled or lucky...
By the way... shouldn' throwing a bomb be a Pass action?!?

hum.... that's a good ideia for a extended kick-off table.... 2 balls should make a interesting game..... hum....but usual would be the ball and that exists only once on the pitch.

Yes, it does. Our Chaos Cup championship game is run as a four team game set up in a + fashon. Each team is trying to score on the goal opposite them, and there are two balls on the pitch. It is possible to pick up both balls and score two touchdowns at once, though I am told that in the 4 years of the championship, this has never happened. It is difficult to score when you have three teams attempting to stop you.hum.... that's a good ideia for a extended kick-off table.... 2 balls should make a interesting game..... hum....

Thanks fo resolving this! Just to make sure i understood correctly:
- The player equipped with the bombs can handle the ball and carry it while fusing and tossing the bombs.
- A targeted player carrying the ball may attempt to catch the fused/activated bomb and toss it back without dropping the ball (unless the bombs explodes obviously).

Are you positive on that one, Galak?
I recall that some Q&A stated that a player could only handle one object at a time (and thus not a bomb and the ball at the same time), but perhaps those Q&A only effected 3rd edition?
According to that, the bomb would scatter when "landing" in the ball carrier's square.

So a player can only handle 1 ball at a time?
I'm worried about your players, I hope the instrument 's not blunt

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
So... a few more questions...
Goblins star players haven't stunty as racial caracteristic... I think that is only because they all have a secret weapon, but the negative side of stunty should be there, shouldn't it?
Or as they are Star Players they are considered more though (?spelling?!) than usual?....
after the bomb bounce it cann't be catched, can it?
well... I forgot the rest, I know I had some more...
