Pass Question

I know I really need to go to a running game, but this came up last night.

DE Thrower strong arm, Accurate :

Did we calculate correctly?

PASS ONE: Long Bomb
range modifier -1 (long bomb reduced to long pass by strong arm)
two tackle zones -2
Total modifier -3
base throw 3+ needs a 6, but you modify the dice by 1 for Accurate skill.

PASS TWOShort Pass
Range Modifier +1 (Short Pass 0 reduced by strong Arm)
2 tackle zones -2
Total Modifier -1
Base throw 3+ needs a 4+ but you modify the dice by 1 for Accurate skill.

I think I understand where my problem is, what modifiers affect the dice and which ones affect the target number? in the examples above the range affects the target number, but accurate affects the dice roll. If the tackle zones are imposed on the dice roll it increases the chance of a fumble.

Hmmm...I may have just answered my own question, but I'll post anyway and let you guys focus me where I need to be looking. :?:

I know that there are a lot of coaches who disagree but range affects the die roll too. It all works out the same. In your example one you need a 5+. -1 + -2 +1 = -2 no matter what. You need a modified 3+ to be accurate with your AG4. roll a 6 and it's automatically accurate but even if it weren't, 6-2=4 so it'd be accurate. 5-2=3 so that'd be accurate also.

Example 2 works the same way so you'd need a 3+.

The accurate skill gets added into the modifiers. So your modifier gets a +1 to it. The result is that you both fumble less with the accurate skill, as well as having a higher chance of an accurate pass.
