If I bomb one of my own player who are prone or stunned and they get directly hit or hit on a +4, is that a turnover?
edit :the skills says that player can be hit and still be treated as knocked down even if they are already prone or stunned.

Re: Bombardier
Turnover rules, page 7:
1. A player on the moving team is Knocked Down (being injured
by the crowd or being Placed Prone is not a turnover unless it is
a player from the active team holding the ball; e.g. skills like
Diving Tackle, Piling On and Wrestle count as being Placed
Prone) or
2. A passed ball, or hand-off, is not caught by any member of the
moving team before the ball comes to rest or
3. A player from the moving team attempts to pick up the ball
and fails (note: failing a catch roll, as opposed to a pick up, is by
itself never a turnover) or
4. A touchdown is scored or
5. The four-minute time limit for the turn runs out or
6. A pass attempt is fumbled even if a player from that team
catches the fumbled ball or
7. A player with the ball is thrown or is attempted to be thrown
using Throw Team-Mate and fails to land successfully (including
being eaten or squirming free from an Always Hungry roll) or
8. A player is ejected by the referee for a foul.
Rule 1, combined with the wording from Bombardier, suggests that it is a turnover to me.Bombardier
...Players can be hit by a bomb and treated as Knocked Down even if
they are already Prone or Stunned. Make Armour and Injury rolls for any
players Knocked Down by the bomb.

Re: Bombardier
I would agree too. Though I'd like to see it treated the same as a fireball, in that it's only a turnover if it knocks over one of your players with the ball. The Bombardier skill is too much of a turnover liability at the minute.
On another note, reading the turnover rules, wouldn't a failed throw team mate attempt only cause a turnover if you either throw the ballcarrier, or accidentally hit him (if on your team)? Cyanide has being turning over if he gets injured.

Re: Bombardier
Fireballs are never turnovers, since they happen between turns.
For TTM, it would only be a turnover if the goblin has the ball, or lands on another teammate and knocks him over as well.

Interesting. I had always assumed it wasn't a turnover as a player who is on the ground can't be knocked down. But the skill description would go against this.

Re: Bombardier
That's correct.....throwing a halfling accidentally to the back of the head of one of your own treeman and knocking them out, counts as a turnover...trust me on this! Ask Hanna666!Daht wrote:Fireballs are never turnovers, since they happen between turns.
