What happens during a quick snap (for the goblin player)?

Does
a. the fanatic get a normal move, ie roll for random direction
or
b. do you simply move the miniature one square, as with all the other players?

If a., can the fanatic hit as well?
What happens if the square is occupied, but he can't hit?

I think that b. is correct, but my opponent yesterday thought that it was some variant of a.

Great question, not one I've seen before. I would say b and can hit, but would be interested in a different interpretation.
