Can a player blitz then pick the ball up and then throw a pass?
Thanks

No. Pass is an action. Blitz is an action. A player can perform one action per turn.

i'm afraid he can not as that means the player is taking two actions when he can only take one a turn
Thanks for the help

Darn cheater
Remember: this isn't really a intuitive thing, that cheater can have done it anware that he was cheating....
Even if he is a cheater!!!

I know you my not make a pass after a blitz, but can you make a hand off? I've always been a little unclear on exactly what a hand off is and whether or not it can be used in conection with other actions.

A hand off used to be a free action, now it counts as an action so no you can't do a handoff with a player who has blitzed.

Basically, Blitzing, Passing and Hand Offs all need to be done by separate people. So if you're blitzing, better forget about picking the ball up unless you plan on keeping it.
This can and does hamper the elven 'can do anything' style play. However, several people like this as the handoff/pass combination became pretty unstoppable on an experienced elf team. While it's still doable, the blitz action needs to be performed by a fourth player.
(the run, pickup & pass player, the catch run & handoff ,player, the run & score touchdown player and the blitz player to make the hole in the first place)
Of course, this is all moot if your players have leap and don't need to go through because they can go over the top instead.
