Surfing your own players
This came up yesterday and really is a one in a million situation.
A mosh pit of players were crowded together in a corner of the pitch. Coach A throws a block onto the ball carrier. Because of the angle of attack and position of various players one of Coach A's own players was pushed off the pitch. This player did not have the ball. (Wasn't my match.)
A quick rummage in the book and we could not see if this was a turnover or not.
On this occasion I don't think it mattered as it was the last, or near last, action, but the question was raised.
It's not covered on page 7's list of turnovers and page 10's push backs section suggest a surfed player is not knocked down but is simply injured.
So is it a turnover? Am I missing something?

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Without checking the rules, surely not as its a straight injury roll, i.e. The player doesn't go down and (from the below) doesn't drop the ball

Re: Surfing your own players
Looks to me like it is specifically covered on page 7:
No turnover.1. A player on the moving team is Knocked Down (being injured
by the crowd or being Placed Prone is not a turnover unless it is
a player from the active team holding the ball; e.g. skills like
Diving Tackle, Piling On and Wrestle count as being Placed
Prone)

To be honest, we didn't have a lot of time to check, and then I forgot while laughing at Moodygit.lunchmoney wrote:None of us who looking spotted that

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Re: Surfing your own players
i don't know why you are all laughing
Same way; i'm not always using wrestle, I would not hesitate to surf out my player out if needed.
For example, i have a block opportunity on a slanncatcher having the ball and/or in range to score at the following next turn, surender by my own players, if i get a triple pow, i won't reroll it, even it that surf my own zomby out...
Same story, it might be better to choose to surf out our your own player, than an opponent player.
on this ballcarrier i just get "push", pushing this ballcarrier on my player will put out of range this ballcarrier from TD...

I bet the laughing part came from a cunning plan gone terribly wrong...
