How many squares for a throw-in?

Post by martynq »

A bit of a silly question:

When the ball is thrown-in, how many squares does it travel?

I think the PBEM tool uses 2d6 squares, but looking on p14 of the LRB, I see that the number of squares does not appear to be specified. I have a suspicion that this was the case in the 3rd Edition rules also.

Anybody able to tell me where this number is actually specified?

Page 4 specifies that you should use two dice to determine the number of squares traveled.

Ahah, many thanks!

How silly of me not to realize that it would be specified in another section, rather than that labelled "Throw-Ins".

I only found it with a search for "throw in." Looking back on the history of the game and all the last minute cobbled together rules, I'm constantly amazed and gratified that this little game we love called Blood Bowl works as well as it does.
