Scenario,
The Elf team kicks to the Chorfs, they resolve the D6-D8 scatter, they then roll 'Blitz' on the KO table, move onto the ball and catch it, but it hasnt 'bounced' yet as we resolved the blitz BEFORE the bounce, is that right?
Never seen anyone catch their own kick before so we were unsure haha.
Cheers!

Re: Kick off table result Blitz question.
to take that a little further, the catch roll doesn't occur in the blitz turn, the ball doesn't 'come down' until the blitz has been fully resolved. At that time, should there be anyone in the ball square, they can attempt to catch the ball. This means that should it scatter onto a player of the team on offense, they can be pushed off the square the ball will land in, before they have a chance to catch. it also means that a player from the blitzing team can be placed in the ball square without risking a turnover from a dropped ball mid turn.

There only is a bounce when the square the ball lands in is empty.LJCA wrote:but it hasnt 'bounced' yet
A square with an elf in it, isn't empty.

The Blitz is resolved before the ball lands, so the ball cannot be caught during the Blitz. You can move a player to the square the ball will land in and will then be able to make a catch roll after the Blitz turn in the same manner as a player on Offence can attempt to catch when resolving Kick-Off.LJCA wrote:...move onto the ball and catch it, but it hasnt 'bounced' yet as we resolved the blitz BEFORE the bounce, is that right?

You can even get comedy relief: Years ago I rolled a blitz and had to gfi a werewolf to get under the ball... double skulled... no armor break. Ball came down for a perfect Falcon!
