Maybe misunderstanding your question here, but RR cost double when bought after your 1st game.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

No, Darkson, it is exactly what i meant. But I cant find anything about it in LRB. Compared to how hard it is to get money, now the cards are gone, maybe it could be that the cost was normal.

Thanks.

Yer reroll are exactly the same as they were in the 3rd edition rules iirc. Normal price to start with and for tournaments and then cost double after the first game in leagues.

Cannot agree with reducing their price (ie not paying double). It encourages the wrong type of league roster building for your starting team.

It's tucked away at the top of p. 45, right hand column. (Took me a while to find it.)

So that people stop misunderstanding you, you should talk about leagues and not tournaments. Tournaments are completely different. Usually in a tournament, you don't earn any money, your players don't die and you distribute new skills to the players you wish.

In a tournament setting, your question doesn't make any sense since you can't buy anything after the first game.

Don't automatically assume that every tournament is that way Zombie. I just played in the Fanaticon Tourney in Port Washington, Wisconsin that had regular advances for players and winnings. Just because you haven't seen it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Actually, i've never seen any tournament period. There's never been any (that i know of) in Quebec. Even though i had heard about the Fanaticon many times, i didn't know it worked that way. All of the tournaments i've heard from here went the other way around.

If you ask me, yours is a much better system, so i'm all for it.

I'm curious. How is it 'better'?

It's closer to how the game is normally played (and is meant to be played), that's why it's better.

It's something I wish was clearer.

Early in my 3rd edition experience. (Our first season) we thought rerolls only cost double during the season. After the last game of the season everyone thought they could buy rerolls for normal price again. It soon occured to a couple of us that something wasn't right about that.

I don't agree. Playing a one off game is just as valid as playing games in a league setting.

I also disagree. I thought the whole point of the tournament is to set the teams as close to the same level as possible. D6 rolls at the end of the game make for a very big variation in possible money after a few games. If that can be cut out, so much the better.

The game was meant to be played in one off games. All the league and player prgression rules were added afterwards. (Well in third edition)
