Freebooting and player limits

Ok, it does not say that you can or cannot exceed the position limits when hiring Freebooters.

For example, I already have both Stormvermin. Can I freeboot another Stormvermin for one game?

Even if the freebooters paragraph doesn't say anything about exceeding the limit, the the Buying Players paragraphs clearly states that you cannot HIRE players that exceed position team limits. There is no difference in hiring a player for a match or for a season, apart from the cost.
SPs are a different matter, as they don't have OFFICIAL position to fill up.

A coach is only allowed to hire Freebooter players that would normally play for his team
A 3rd Storm Vermin cannot normally play for your team so you cannot freeboot one.

The only way u could have 3 storm vermin no matter what would be if there was a star player storm vermin available.

Actually, star players don't really have positions anymore. That's why they don't take up a positional spot anymore. They used to, now they're just stars.

Did not realize that, havent really checked the star players out, only 1 league i play in uses them. Tho as typing this i realized that that team is just about ready to start buying them.

OK, good, that's the way we played it. Just making sure of it.

What about the "That Boy's got Talent" result on the handicap table?

Can you acquire a 5th Black Ork or a 3rd Troll Slayer for the game?

Absolutely ... the handicap roll doesn't suggest a normally allowed player just any player. So this handicap roll can be used to get a 5th BOB or 3rd Slayer.

::shudders at the thought of playing against 3 Wardancers::

::laughs hysterically at the thought of using 3 Bull Cantaurs::

what about the "That Boy's got Talent" and big guys ,can you play with 2 ?

Good question...I don't think that they used to be allowed since they were "allies" and I think allies couldn't be gained by "That Boy's Got Talent". I'd treat them the same way...since they are not 'part of the normal team list' but instead come under a 'big guys allowed' category. I'd say "no" for my league...

you still have to play within the team limits i think

Hmmmm .... I don't "think" you can get a 2nd Big Guy .. I think the player has to be a normal roster position. Just that you can exceed the normal limits ... so in my league its ... 3rd Wardancer, 3rd Bull Centaur = YES ... 2nd Ogre for a Human team = No.
