If I give Hail Mary Pass to a Skink, Goblin, or Halfling...
How does it work? Like normal? What about Stunty?
Sorry if its a stupid question...

Stunties can use HMP just like any other player, they get no special restrictions. In fact HMP for stunty teams is a godsend.

Now that looks to be a tactic which could result in me playing with a halfling team... without any big guys. Well it could be fun

Only one of them can make a Diving Catch as you have to be the "target" of the HMP....

And one of anything is a Dirty Player target ... 2 is so you have some ability to have one open.

Potential Rules Abuse?
Can't remember which page exactly (@ uni so don't have LRB to hand), but IIRC the Diving Catch description states that the player may move 1 square. As read, that square does NOT have to be anywhere near the ball. In effect, this gives the DC'er a free 1-square move prior to the presumed turnover resulting from an inaccurate pass.
Again, I have yet to see Diving Catch used in such a manner myself, but the idea of it....

There's only 1 player who can move, and they must be the target of the pass.
So the only abuse is that the player can move, even if he couldn't get anywhere near the ball (or can move away). That's not going to be too much of an issue given that its probably a turnover anyway.

I wake up the old thread and asks this.
Does the stunty player get -1 for the hail mary pass roll (fumble on 1-2).
We hade a discussion about it today and some say its -1 extra for hail mary.
Can anyone answer.

Why not start a new thread
HMP is 2+ even for stunties.

Short answer: Darkson.
Long answer: Because of a fear of Darkson that borders on the irrational.

Stunty (Extraordinary)
The player is so small that they are very difficult to tackle because they
can duck underneath opposing players’ outstretched arms and run
between their legs. On the other hand, Stunty players are just a bit too
small to throw the ball very well, and are easily injured. To represent
these things a player with the Stunty skill may ignore any enemy tackle
zones on the square he is moving to when he makes a Dodge roll (i.e.,
they always end up with a +1 Dodge roll modifier), but must subtract 1
from the roll when they pass. In addition, add 1 to any Injury roll made
against a player with the Stunty skill. Stunties that are armed with a
Secret Weapon are not allowed to ignore enemy tackle zones, but still
suffer the other penalties.
Taken from rulebook. Hail mary is a pass or?
Maybe have to rewrite it to next LRB.

Disclaimer:: Yes, I understand that the rules aren't specifically written this way. Yes I understand that I can not defend what I am about to say.
I tend to think of HMP in the same way I think of Stab.
Stab replaces throwing the block in a Block Action.
HMP replaces throwing the pass in a Pass Action.
Both require declaring the base action but do not use the basic rules for said action.
